Nicole Parks - Voice

Miss Nicole Parks is a native of Gainesville, GA. 

She attended the University of Georgia from 1995 to 1999 and earned her Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education, graduating with honors in May of 1999. She studied voice with Dr. Gregory Broughton and Dr. Stephanie Tingler, and piano with Dr. Margaret Stahl. 

Ms. Parks ran a private piano studio and worked at a substitute teacher for the Clarke County School District from 1999 to 2002, then returned to Gainesville. She taught piano and voice lessons as an independent contractor here for several years, before returning to graduate school to pursue a Master of Music degree.

Nicole Parks - Voice

After studying voice with Dr. Michelle Roueché at Brenau University for two years, Ms. Parks returned to UGA to complete her Masters Degree. There she studied voice with Dr. Gregory Broughton and sang in the Concert Choir under the direction of Dr. Allen Crowell. She also participated in the UGA Chamber Choir Tour of Germany and Austria in the summer of 2007. She graduated with a Master of Music in Vocal Performance in May of 2008, and continues to study with Dr. Broughton. 

In addition to her position at Preparatory Music, Inc., Ms. Parks performs with the Lanier Chamber Singers and is employed as a professional vocalist at Grace Episcopal Church in Gainesville. She continues to appear there as a featured soloist in major vocal works, such as Mendelssohn’s Elijah and Handel’s Messiah. She also performs locally in both solo and collaborative recitals.
