Keith Jefcoat

Mr. David Keith Jefcoat a native of Laurel, Mississippi, received his Bachelor's and Master's degree in piano performance from Brenau College and the University of Georgia respectively.

Mr. Jefcoat has taught private piano since 1975.  Through the years he has consistently produced winners and alternates both in local and statewide piano events. His teachers include Richard Collins, Austrian-American notable concert pianist Walter Hautzig, and Russian-American pianist, Eugeny Rivkin at the University of Georgia.

Keith is a member of the Gainesville Music Club, The Northeast Georgia and Georgia Music Teachers Association, The National Guild of Piano Teachers and the American Guild of Organists.

He has performed four-hand piano recitals extensively throughout the Southeast with his wife and piano duet partner, Priscilla Jefcoat. The Jefcoats recently recorded an all Mozart CD. Mr. Jefcoat also has judged various piano events in Georgia and neighboring states through the years.

He has served as organist and adult handbell director at Gainesville First United Methodist church from 1993 to the present. In 1991, Keith organized the Lanier Chamber Singers, a critically acclaimed choral group comprising 30 singers. The group sang at the 2006 Southeastern division of the American Choral Directors Convention and in Spivey Hall in March, 2007.
